BACKGROUND
The Doing Business unit offers an internship program during the spring, summer and fall for students pursuing an advanced degree.
Interns will apply their operational, research, writing, interpersonal and language skills to one of the 12 indicators covered in the Doing Business study: Starting a Business, Dealing with Construction Permits, Getting Electricity, Registering Property, Getting Credit, Protecting Minority Investors, Paying Taxes, Trading across Borders, Enforcing Contracts, Resolving Insolvency, Employing Workers and Contracting with the Government.
Results of data collection, research and analysis are presented in the Doing Business study and on the website as well as in academic papers and country reports that inform advisory work and operations for client countries.
